When we collect, use or disclose your information, we abide by the following ten principles:

Accountability: We are accountable for all personal information in our possession and control and have designated a Privacy Officer to oversee our privacy responsibilities.  Our Privacy Officer is available to respond to queries and make available information regarding our policies and procedures for protecting your personal information, responding to your access requests and responding to your complaints.

Identified Purposes: By ourselves or through our strategic partners or reputable third parties who meet our personal information security standards, we collect, use and disclose your personal information only for the Identified Purposes set out in the Personal Information Consent Form and Privacy Policy.  If you wish to know who our strategic partners are, please ask our privacy officer.

Consent: We will obtain your consent before or when we collect, use or disclose personal information about you.  You may withdraw your consent at any time upon reasonable notice, subject to legal or contractual restrictions. Your withdrawal of consent may impact our ability to provide you with all or part of the product you desire and we would be happy to discuss such implications with you in order to make an informed decision.

Limits for Collecting Personal Information: We will only collect information for the Identified Purposes, or purposes identified to you at a later date, or as otherwise permitted by law.

Limits for Using, Disclosing and Keeping Personal Information: We will use or disclose personal information only for the reasons that it was collected, unless you give additional consent to use or disclose it for another reason.  We will keep your personal information only so long as it is needed for the identified purposes or as required by law.

Keeping Personal Information Accurate: We will keep the personal information in our possession or control as accurate, complete, current and relevant as is necessary for the Identified Purposes, based on the most recent information available to us.  You may challenge the accuracy and completeness of the personal information about you that we have, and request that it be amended as appropriate.

Safeguarding Personal Information: We protect personal information with safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity.

Making Information about Policies and Procedures Available: We will be open about, and make available to you, our procedures to manage personal information.

Providing Access to Personal Information: Upon your request, we will advise you as to what personal information of yours we have in our possession or control, why it is being used, and to whom it has been disclosed. However, in certain situations prescribed by law, we may not be able to give to you access to all of your personal information.

Handling Complaints and Questions: If you wish to review personal information about you, obtain a separate copy of our privacy policy and standards, or make other enquiries or express concerns, you may do so by contacting our privacy officer.
